one of the reasons i can't wait to move out

There are a few advantages of living in a small town (...I'll get back to you on what they are) but shopping? Definitely not one of them. The other day, my friend Kori (over at The Musings of an Awkward Panda) and I went to the mall, hoping to discover some exciting finds.

Why we expected this, I have no idea.

We have a security guard at McDonald's and a hurricane simulator (pay two dollars to mess up your hair! Yay!) but we don't even have a photobooth. (We also have security guards around random piles of rocks in the countryside, so go figure.) What kind of mall doesn't have a photobooth? (Probably the same one that keeps a 'Now Open' sign on for six years after its actual opening...)

After that initial disappointment, we decided to simply wander around the stores, a process that took about fifteen minutes since there's only really three. (Unless you count the sketchy restaurant where people find chunks of metal in their food...) However, in the last store, we saw something that made the entire trip worth it.

Isn't this gorgeous? Apparently someone saw an old garbage bag, decided to paint it fluorescent orange, and put a price tag on it! For only eight dollars plus tax, it could be yours forever!

Oh, and the worst part? I went back the other day, and it was gone. Yes, you read that correctly- someone actually bought this monstrosity.

There are no words.

  1. That is absolutely hilarious! Our mall is very similar, but we have a whopping five stores! That is a great find, I'm sure you bought it, right?

  3. Oh dear. I live in a small place, but luckily I'm close enough to cities so I am saved from travesties like this!

    1. Haha, I did once too... but it just messed up my hair :P

No, I completely agree! It has absolutely no redeeming features! (Not that it would be attractive longer either, but still.)

  8. Oh! Oh! The ~same~ sketchy restaruant where the waitress dips her cloth INTO YOUR DRINK to wipe the table???? Yeah, never been there since! What a loss!

I was hoping to repress the memory of that skirt in my hands XD Great LMFAO, it was certainly a piece of work...obviously not as much so as the person who BOUGHT IT, however...if I see it out in public on someone, I will srsly die on the spot :P

    1. There are just so many reasons not to go there! We should make a Where-NOT-to-go list xD

You'll die? I think I might have to eliminate them with my ninja skillz xD
